The teachers at the Madrasah are really helpful and have shown they really care about our education and encourage us to be good practicing Muslims and good members of society.
Safeguarding
Dear Parents and Carers,
At Madrasah Imam Bukhari , the safety and happiness of every young person in our community is at the heart of everything we do. We are deeply committed to creating a nurturing environment where students feel secure both inside and outside of the madrasah.
Our approach to safeguarding goes beyond basic protection, we actively educate our students on how to keep themselves safe. Through engaging lessons, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking assemblies, we empower them with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the world safely, both online and offline.
We also work closely with parents and carers, ensuring that together we create the safest possible environment for every child. The madrasah has a legal responsibility to act when there are concerns about a child’s well-being, working alongside essential agencies such as the Police, Children’s Social Catre, and Health professionals. While we always strive to keep parents and carers informed when a referral needs to be made, there may be times when external authorities advise us not to share details immediately, this is always done in the best interests of the child. We understand this can be worrying, but please know that every step we take follows strict safeguarding legislation designed to protect and support children in need.
If you ever have concerns about the well-being of a child, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact us by calling 0116 266 6688 and ask for a member of the Safeguarding Team.
For serious concerns outside of school hours, you can also reach out to:
- Children’s Social Care (CASP): 0116 4541005
- Police: 101 (non-emergency) or 999 (emergency)
Thank you for your trust and partnership in keeping our children safe.

What our students say
Student
I will miss the Madrasah so much! I started when I was 5 years old in nursery class and now have finished in Class 8.
It has been a great journey, have learnt so much about the Quran and Islam. The Madrasah has awesome teachers and a great vibe! I would like to thank all the staff at the Madrasah for giving me a memorable experience and wish them all the best going forward.
