Introduction to Madrasah Imām Bukhārī
Madrasah Imām Bukhārī is a multicultural madrasah. We cater for the 5 to 14 age range and we draw most of our children from the Belgrave and Beaumont Leys area. The Madrasah is close to Abbey Park and in recent years it has undergone a great deal of improvement in order to provide modern living facilities and good amenities for play and recreation.
The Madrasah is situated in Masjid-ul-Imam-Il-Bukhari which was opened in 1988. The Madrasah has three halls and 12 classrooms.
At present we have 250 children on roll including the Foundation Stage. Most children enter the madrasah in foundation 2 at the age of 5. The Madrasah is arranged in to two stages; primary and secondary. Nursery to Class 4 accommodates children between the ages of 5 – 9 and Class 5 – 8 accommodate children between the ages of 10 – 14. We also have one dedicated Hifz Class (memorisation of the Qur’an).
The Madrasah staff consists of people who are qualified teachers, qualified Alims / Alimas, Safeguarding officers and school governors. This gives them a wealth of experience and knowledge in working with children.
